If in the Aldeburgh or Orford area, Snape Maltings is a 'must visit'. It's been there as long as I can remember, and has various shops packed with 'antiques', and quality household products, and houses a theatre. Wander, gaze out across the marshlands along the...More

At my wife's request we came to attend the ETO performance of Tosca. An amazing setting in the midst of Suffolk countryside for such an evening. The Maltings is a range of old converted buildings comprising small retail shops and eateries but the centrepiece is...More

Really nice buildings and shops but everything was so expensive. Most of the goods sold are available elsewhere at half the cost. It is a nice site though which would be lovely to walk round on a summer's day

Excellent shopping with unusual and attractive homewares and furnishings at fairly reasonable prices. Food in the cafe upstairs was average and be prepared to wait around an hour for your meal even when it is not full of customers.

Lovely shopping complex as well as the iconic concert hall, all set by the marshes and the river Alde.

The 'Maltings' has so much to offer; from it wonderful concert hall, excellent but pricey shops and beautiful walks. Something for everyone. The day we visited it was cold and rainy so the boutiques pulled us in. What a fantastic place - pricey but fun!

Easy to find but in such a tucked away spot. Amazingly restored Maltings turned into a top notch music venue. Loved having my daughters school able to perform at such a professional location. They really enjoyed having their own dressing room. A great day!!

We came here because it was raining. The buildings and the history about them was interesting, and it was good to see that there were lots of small businesses and some housing on this site, plus the concert hall. The shops were interesting although we...More
