The railways good, the cafe is good, the people are mostly friendly, the prices were a little high. £8.00 to go a few miles, for that sort of price, id be expecting a longer run.

We come here 4 to 5 times a year as its right on our doorstep, there's a bar a cafe and shop just inside the main building and the locals are very welcoming as well. The train runs through the most beautiful countryside you could wish to see (5 mile round trip). To top it off you can have a good look... More

If you have ever fancied driving a steam locomotive, then give this a go! Foxfield Railway is an excellent place to experience the thrill of driving and firing a steam locomotive, together with some of the many other jobs on the railway. Everyone at the railway is incredibly friendly and they do everything they can to make sure you have... More

Very interesting Museum and attraction run by local volunteers who have created a wonderful atmosphere. Their enthusiasm and the affection for the railway is in the air and very enjoyable. The dedication is found in the authentic railway experience from visiting the bar and café to purchasing a ticket at the booking office and taking a short steam railway journey... More

We arrived early for the train ride so decided to stop in the cafe. The breakfast was very tasty, served quickly and very reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly. The train ride itself was nice with lovely views. When the train stopped to turn around there were good photo opportunities and a chance to have a look on the... More

An interesting day out looking at industrial steam engine history and a ride on a steam train all for under a tenner! For once it was not an attraction that wanted to charge for absolutely everything: the reverse in fact. Managed by enthusiastic amateurs these people are doing a great job preserving British steam heritage with industrial steam engines. It... More

Visited here on 9th April whilst they had a Classic Car Show on. The railway is only small but offers a lovely ride through the Staffordshire Moorlands. There is a small cafe on site which is reasonably priced along with a small gift shop. Lovely place to visit and spend a couple of hours here with children.

Came here is summer 2016 - was a nice day out. My son loved it. Was £16ish for 2 adults and a 2 year old (I thought was pricey) but you can stay tere all day. They also have a little gift shop that sells Thomas and other trains as well as a little pub area and outside seating. I... More

The train ride was slow and short. An experience for the children with a steam engine. Cafe was good and friendly.
