Our recent journey from this fine railway station and numerous others in the past have always been good. Waiting rooms always heated in winter; efficient service when collecting or buying train tickets; excellent buffet items and friendly platform staff make the start of our journeys a breeze!

Visited on a Thursday afternoon (to pick up a friend) - the positive is the improved access/exit to northbound track (Platform 2)..... so, you don't have to lug your cases down the stairs through the tunnel (under the tracks) and up the other side to exit the station anymore. The Car Park was nearly full (not a problem for me)......... More

Just dropped my daughter off, parking opposite the entrance for 20 minutes. This very nice bloke Aaron dealt with some queries my daughter had about her journey with a smile and lots of helpful information. He is one of those few people that make you realise some still understand that customers should be taken care of. thank you young man.

There's a cafe if you have a wait which also sell newspapers and magazines. Excellent taxi and bus services with stops at the entrance, a hotel opposite if staying over. The staff... More

Drop off parking and taxis right next to the station entrance. Large car park across the road. Fee payable. I overran the free parking by 5 minutes (drop off) and was charged £4-00. On this visit the cafe had run out of bacon and sausage so no breakfast sandwich. Station clean. Lots of staff about who were pro-active and helpful... More

There's barriers before the platforms so you have to get a ticket in advance. But not to worry, there's 4 self-service machines (to buy or collect both cash or card), free cash machine and several maned desks. Parking is a bit tricky as there's not many free parking spots but there's a couple of large paid parkings next to the... More

We travelled from Stoke station, which was clean and tidy to Blackpool and from the start found the staff to be friendly and helpful The cafe staff were efficient and pleasant and everyone had a smile for the grandchildren despite being very busy so well done Stoke staff maybe some other stations could learn from you !

Travelling on a Saturday with a baby and the ticket hall was ram-packed. I queued for my ticket, staff were extremely friendly. Helped me to lift my baby onto the train. Lovely staff
