When I saw the offer for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) for £8.00 on Groupon I was a little bit sceptical. But once we were there that soon changed. The children loved seeing the variety of animals, especially the monkeys and even enjoyed having a go on the train. Would definitely go back as we all... More

Doing their best but rather run down. But the whole of the garden centre has that feel they are struggling to survive. Failed to see the wolf which upset my grandson, but that's animals for you. We wouldn't go back, and that's what they need, returning trade. There is nothing else nearby so they have a captive audience, just need... More

Dear jojom66, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry yet surprised that you think the centre is run down; we have completed a significant amount of building work in the last couple of years. We have literally just opened the new flying area and pathways. We have updated and rebuilt many of the enclosures, constructed several new aviaries and have... More

To see the animals and birds looked after so well is comforting. The price to go in the enclosure is well worth every penny and also gives owner a chance to improve all living quarters for the wildlife.

We visited today for the first time with our 4 year old daughter, two arts and a chocolate was £11, I have to say it's a lovely place, the animals are well cared for and they each have a little story if how and why they are there. The staff were very friendly and the cafe a nice surprise, 2... More

I love this little place and have visited a few times now. The birds and animals all have their own stories, which makes this sanctuary so important. It's not expensive unlike other places, and we've been there when they've been exercising the birds and taking Saxon the wolfdog for a walk around the centre, so it's not just about seeing... More

Gentleshaw Birds of Prey and Wildlife Centre offers you the opportunity to observe a wide variety of birds (hawks, eagles, owls etc.) up close as well as monkeys, lemurs, reptiles, cats and canines in a warm and welcoming environment due in part to the friendly staff onsite. However, bear in mind that the wildlife centre is rather small and can... More

We visited this centre on a wet day in early January. We have four kids from 3 months to 10 years. All the kids had a fun time. We spent about 75 minutes around the centre - ideal for young kids. Really nice that they have given each animal a name and a little display plate telling you the story... More

Such a welcoming place. Well maintained and so many different birds and animals to see! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and interaction with the birds is possible! I have visited England many times and always make this a primary "must see". Gail Ganske - Calgary, Alberta Canada
