The Manifold Way runs through a beautiful part of the Peak District. There are many activities open to visitors, with walking and cycling very popular. The National Park car parks strung along the route, plus camping sites, cottages etc. makes it very accessible for all types of visitor. There are countless walks, and many attractive villages to wander through. The... More

I spend a great deal of time cycling on holiday and was looking forward to cycling the Manifold Trail. However I was a little disappointed that it was so narrow. Only 1 metre wide in some parts. I suppose at some times in the year it is fine, but in the school holidays and weekends it can be very busy... More

If your thinking of going to thors cave then take note wear non slippy shoes as it can get quite slippy on the way up and be mindful of little ones as the paths are quite narrow its a good treck to the top of the hills but overall myself and my family (including a 3 and 5 year old)... More

The cycle trail was straight forward flat 8.5 miles and very family friendly. we stopped at Wetton Mill for tea and cake. there is a section of the trail and is also a short section used... More

My daughter and i went to manifold on 4th August. It was a sunny day with heavy showers, we hired 2 adult bikes from brown end farm which we have used before and had great service from. Yet again we were welcomed warmly and measured for the correct bikes and helmets, the helmets and lock came free and we paid... More

We were staying locally and thought it would be great to hire some bikes from The Manifold Track Cycle Hire Centre. When we arrived the person at the counter was on the phone, he made no attempt to acknowledge us at all. We stayed a few minutes while he was still on the phone, still he did not acknowledge us.... Having already cycled the Monsal and Tissington trails we decided to take a walk on the last day of our holiday and found the Manifold Trail in our guidebook. Once again we had to pay £4.50 for parking (which seems to be common at all the trails in Derbyshire); I think I might buy a visitors pass if I visit... More

We hired bikes from browns farm at the waterhouses end. 2 adults and 1 child for 3 hours was £30. Helmets are provided and we where given a bike... More

We come here to walk the dog and I can't think of a more beautiful place. Even if you are just staying on the trail and not heading up to the cave, it's still a lovely walk. If you are heading up to the cave get ready for steps and wear walking shoes. The view from the top is perfect.... More
