The gardens were beautifully kept, the contemporary garden's planting was a little bright for our taste, but the main garden, the water and the wall walk were a treat. Will definitely make... More

Such an amazing sense of history, fantastic buildings, beautiful gardens, wonderful specimen trees, great play area for children. Fallen in love with the bishops place all over again. Well worth a visit.

My wife's many times Great Grandfather was a Bishop here in the time of Henry Vlll, so she was intrigued to see it. Very interesting in regard to the architecture and design, but have to... More

Even on a dull damp, drizzley day, a walk into the gardens is a must if in Wells. The café provides not only great beverages and cakes, but a wonderful view of the Palace and Grounds.

We were well occupied for a couple of hours and sad to be there child... More

Loads of different areas to see and enjoy. Different types of planting from allotments, to formal, to peaceful/meditation, to waterside areas. Walk along wall shows off great views. Great wooden play area for children to explore. Lovely cafe

There's something for everyone here.... whether you're in for a walk, or an afternoon tea in the cafe watching a game of croquet or just bringing the kids to the playground.
