We visited the week before Christmas. The Palace was beautifully decorated using natural materials including holly, ivy, and rosehips.
We loved the gardens and were interested to see water gushing from one of the wells that gives the city its name.

Nice grounds, ponds, park to walk about. The house and the chapel as equally delightful. To make the most of the ?£6.00 entry fee.... bring a picnic. They have a lovely little cafe as well but was closing when we got there.
Before visiting the Palace and gardens, you would have already resolved it's worse element.....car parking, LOL. Wells is a popular tourist location and thus parking is not necessarily easily found. Best option might be to park in one of the council car parks in and...More

It’s definitely worth taking the time to see this place if in Wells.
