Come and discover the amazing story of this beautiful village and travel through time from its foundation to the present. Visit us and explore our vibrant history, hear stories of Viking raids and bloodshed in the Civil War, tales of romance in the time of Lords and Ladies and see how history has shaped the idyllic place that thousands visit every year. Also see our fabulous Doll Collection. We have one of the largest collections of dolls in the country, with thousands of dolls spanning different time eras, cultures and manufacturers. The collection is always growing so there are likely to be many new additions and faces if you have visited before! Situated in the beautiful medieval village of Dunster, we are located on the gateway to Exmoor National Park. Come and visit us today! Dolls can be found on first floor of Dunster Museum.(There is a lift for those unable to climb stairs) Numerous showcases packed full of dolls of all descriptions. All very informative and nostalgic. Museum is free.

They love to talk about their collections, or about the town of Dunster. Located right off the High Street. There are a lot of dolls in her, as well as other interesting historical items. There is no charge to enter.

Small interesting Museum. If you are interested in dolls this is a very good place to take a look. Even saw some dolls i remembered from my childhood. Some pieces of local history as well.

As advertised as a local museum it is very disappointing as there is very little other than some information boards at the entrance, it is mainly a doll museum which is still very interesting if you are in to such things.It would therefore keep children...More

Went in here on the high street ,very very informative, lovely collection of all kinds if dolls proms eta,lots donated items by local residents,they rely in donations and volunteers to keep this little gem going ,worth a visit you may well be surprised at what...More

Small place packed with all shapes and sizes of dolls some very old, some more recent, also royal memorabilia, poignant with the 20th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana.
