    Local cheddar and process viewings
What more do you want from a cheddar company! The staff were friendly with plenty of cheese samples to try before purchasing. The tour is unguided, but with videos and information on the walls to inform you of the process, while also being able to view the workers during this chess making process. The cheese is more going to be more expensive that if you were to buy from a major supplier but that's just the situation purchasing from local companies.

There were quite a bit of cheese for visitors to try before buying
Popped by the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company when we were in Cheddar. There were quite a bit of cheese for visitors to try before buying and there was a good selection of cheese for sale but we could not buy much as we were travelling. There were also some vintage equipment on display. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Cheddar.

    Friendly staff
Nice experience to see some cheese making in action. Very reasonable priced and you get to see behind the scenes which was great to watch live. There is also a video of the whole process playing. Got to taste various cheeses afterwards and the friendly staff also bought out a few others as we talked about our preferences.

A lovely tour and tasting with Emma with interesting processes to watch and the most delicious flavourful cheese.
Emma was a very friendly, passionate and knowledgeable tour guide. We were taken though the process from start to finish seeing the curd cutting and dipping (Luke made such a physical job look easy!) then went into the store area where we were able to see the different aging process. My husband was able to use the tasting iron to cut out a small section of cheese and it was interesting noting the difference in flavour meat to the rind compared to in the middle. The tasting afterwards was really delicious, and the smoked cheese is the only one I’ve ever liked as I normally find it over powering. We’d definitely recommend the VIP tour, such a lovely independent company.

you get to try some of the cheese that's selling, the cave cheese was a little disappointing i have to say but the cracked black pepper, garlic and the bbq charcoal one was unbelievable! very expensive but it's worth it as a treat.

Very expensive cheese. A tiny slice was almost £7! All were pre packed in some way and very disappointing. The piece I brought was really gritty and not at all nice. Shame because I was so looking forward to eating it. Stick to Cathedral City!

Loved this experience,, attractive shop offering cheese tasting and many cheeses including the cheese that is matured in the cave, interesting museum of cheese making tools etc,, and you can watch them make cheese from start to finish,, it does take all day ,,, we went after lunch which personally is the best time to go as we watched the most interesting bits and found it addictive to watch,, its not expensive and it was lovely to taste the cheese and shop for the one ones you wanted at the end of the tour,
