Having only one day in Bath, we wanted to maximize our time and see as much as possible. This tour was amazing, and did I mention it is free? Our tour guide, Jeff, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and led us on a 2-hour tour around Bath. The walk was not strenuous as there were was a mix of different ages... More

Quite simply, YES! Our fascinating guide Bob blended street theatre with a history lesson, stimulated an interest in architecture alongside being almost a gossip columnist from the Georgian times. We've been to Bath many times but had no idea how much we were just not seeing. Cannot recommend highly enough

A very informative and interesting walk led by a very knowledgeable guide. And it is free and you are not allowed to tip the guide. Not to be missed

We did the 2pm tour, after being split into groups of about fourteen people we set off with our guide, Alan. What followed was two hours of entertainment and learning about Bath. Whether it was spa baths or grand crescents Alan had a story to convey the information we wanted and demonstrate his love of the city. Highly recommended and... More

We were really impressed by our tour guide Dan. He was friendly, funny and really knowledgeable. He took us to the key tourist parts, filling us in on the interesting and eventful history of each area. He also pointed out other things we may not have noticed had we not had a guide. The fact that he (and all the... More

A real highlight of our 11 days in the UK, including 4 in Bath! I’m told that the program employs about 80 volunteer guides, overall, and that they are all excellent (a view confirmed by our subsequent observations)! We toured on a rainy Tuesday, selecting one of the half-dozen morning groups forming outside the Pump Room, embarking on schedule lasting... More

We started our day at the Roman Bath and then waited out front for The walking tour at 10:30. Highly recommend you start your day with the two hour tour getting a great history of the town and its landmarks. Our guide was Diana and she did a wonderful job of leading and educating our group of approximately 25. She... More

I would recommend any visitor to Bath to take advantage of this super initiative. We spent a hugely enjoyable and entertaining two and a bit hours discovering corners of the city we would otherwise not have discovered. Thank you Barry. This is a free walking tour offered by volunteer guides. Having travelled extensively through the USA where there is such... More
