Designed by John Wood II in 1769, these stately and ornate public rooms were used for evening "soirees" during the 18th century, for dancing, music, card-playing and tea-drinking.
Today the Assembly Rooms may be hired for a range of events such as weddings, dinners, conferences, meetings,exhibitions, concerts and parties.
The world renowned Fashion Museum is situated on the lower ground floor and is open 363 days a year.
