Thursday 27th May and we walked across this bridge from the Parade Gardens side. It is also known as Bath Cross Over Bridge.

Standing on the bridge, northside, looking down the River, it is possible to see the iconic Pulteney Bridge.

A single span bridge, the original that was built in 1835 was a metal structure. In 1936-7, the old iron bridge spans were recovered with Ashlar Stone, to be more on keeping with the Bath image.

On one end of the bridge  on a small pair of stone built  structures known as lodges.

Through one of these small buildings we took a spiral staircase down to the towpath along the River, where Bath Rugby and Sports and Leisure Centre are. It is also a route to access Bath Skyline Walk.

This Bridge sits near the Abbey and goes across the River Avon. It is adjacent to Parade Gardens which are wonderful to walk around (small charge of £2.00 per person). And you get a great view looking up the river at Pulteney Bridge and the weir. The Bridge itself is suitable for cars and walkers and is one of the main routes out to take you to the bath Skyline attraction
