We were lucky enough to get a tour of the inside but you don't get to see very much - just one part of the inside of the main mill. The volunteer guide was ezxcellent and informative.... More

The extent of information, both in breadth and depth, is absolutely stunning. The staff could not be more helpful. So if it's in depth research or general interest, this is the place to go.

A wonderful site with lots to take in. The new Visitor Centre is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Easter to October. Came across the mill by chance one Saturday and saw that the visitor centre was open. Really enjoyed our visit especially having the opportunity to go inside the main building and see the very first iron framed building - the forerunner of all the skyscrapers.

So much money has been spent on consultants etc for this lovely old and unique building leaving very little to spend on its long overdue restoration. I would like to know just how much has been spent on non productive work and I may just enquire about the Dithering at Ditherington!
