A very pleasant day out with the two dogs. Chose to go in midweek and was right to do so as it was quiet. A beautiful sunny day added to the enjoyment of looking for the red toadstool’s. The dogs enjoyed the off lead running....More

A beautiful location - lovely walks, plus a ruined abbey close by. Most importantly, a delicious soya latte and gorgeous homemade glazed orange cake - marmaladey and not too sweet. The chocolate cake looked delicious too. Excellent!

Lovely well kept area. Highway Rat trail was lots of fun and well signposted. Cafe was great, fab service and delicious cake! Would definitely recommend. Followed geo trail to the viewpoint, again we'll signposted. There was some dog muck, such a shame some dog owners...More

Called in for a tea/coffee and tea cake at the end of july,after a walk in the forest. The walking is really good,dog friendly and the most amazing views from the easy to reach viewpoints.You can pick out Shrewsbury and the surrounding villages and hills....More

Ample parking (£2 all day), well sign posted walks with a good variety of lengths and some suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Lovely picnic facilities, nice clean toilets, where you can use them regardless of whether you are eating in the cafe or not, and...More

Hello, no please do not pick mushrooms or fungi from our woods they are an important part of the forest ecosystem.
