This is a great site and puts on activities for the kids during the holidays with jousting and armour. Our kids (4+7) also really enjoyed listening to the audio tour, though I am not convinced they were always on the right number they were able...More

The castle, gatehouse and church are all beautiful buildings in a lovely setting. It felt really peaceful here as we walked around with only a handful of other visitors. But I think it is very expensive for the size and what's available. There are no...More

This castle is nestled in the valley and has been well preserved. It’s well worth a visit especially if you have the audio tour which gives you a lot of background information.

Apart from the Castle being a very interesting site to visit (do take advantage of the audio tape to listen to) there is a splendid cafe adjacent to the car park. Open daily through the Summer months, weekends only during Winter. We went there for...More

Lovely castle with a story to tell. You can pay for the history and listen whilst you walk round which is cheap and well worth it. You can even have a coffee at the coffee shop after.

Spent a very pleasant 90 minutes exploring this fortified Manor House near Craven Arms. Audio guide and £3.50 guide book help make the most of the history which was fascinating. Also enjoyed a coffee in the nearby cafe afterwards.

Absolutely delightful site in a glorious setting. Amazingly complete set of buildings well looked after. Do visit the church in the path in as it is an idiosyncratic wonder.

Stokesay is really a manor house and castle. Not expensive to enter and there is a good audio guide that gives very interesting information, not only about the buildings but life in medieval times.

Visited here with two dogs and two teenagers, A very lovely little place and some gorgeous surrounding countryside. It was easy to look around the castle in shifts as the dogs had to stay in the courtyard but as it is a modest castle (fortified...More
