The perfect place to visit in dry weather as, being a village with shops and houses, most of the time is spent outside. One of the first buildings you can visit is a representation of a Lloyds Bank with the manager and the teller being dressed in period outfits. It is here where, should you wish, you can exchange current... More

Great way to experience Victorian Britain. Lots to see, do and learn for all ages. The staff seem to enjoy what they do and are very knowledgable. Fish & Chips in beef dripping were delicious!

We went on a rainy Monday, the first weekday after Easter week, so there were very few people there. Even so, the staff were working as usual and gave us a very good time, telling interesting stories and demonstrating their crafts. We felt we almost had a special tour just for us.

Blists Hill is a very interesting museum to visit and learn life in Victorian Britain. There is a lot to see and to enjoy it at its best you need to spend a whole day here. We changed some 21st Century money into Victorian money, which we spent in the shops to buy some very nice currant buns, sweets and... More

This is a great place to visit for all ages. We loved our school lesson and enjoyed wondering around the Victorian streets and shops. There is plenty to see and do and everything is reasonably priced.

We visited here with a 5 & 11yr old in tow. All had a good day. Firstly we called at the bank to exchange money for shillings and farthings to spend to add to the experience. The shops sold in both standard sterling or in 'old money' so you have to change. There were various shows through the day such... More

Great place to go to travel back in time and experience the old days! Lots to do for the young and old alike. The foundry shop is worth a look, they fire up the furnace on a wednesday and cast iron, making things for the shop and outside customers.Lots of other crafts to see too.

Staff were fantastic, the lady at the till was helpful and recommended a family annual pass, which I would agree to get and it covers you for 12 months and you can come back and visit and the other 9 museums. There is plenty to do and we were told at the till what things wasn't on for that day.... More

This does bring to life the experiences of over 100 years ago and how folk lived and worked - perfectly. There were different exhibits and demonstrations throughout our visit and most shop and establishments actually functioned as in the past - but at today's prices - alas. Make time and it is well worth the visit.
