I grew up in Sheffield but the Winter Garden was only built after I left and so only recently came across it. Architecturally excellent and a very calm and restful place to sit and/or enjoy the plants.

This place was an excellent find. Beautifully constructed and filled with tropical plants and the commercial side of it is pretty discreet compared to many places. Best coffee I had was in here too. Open at night time.

As others have said, an oasis in the city centre. The Millenium gallery is wonderful too. Well worth a couple of hours of your time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Winter Gardens. It has some good areas to sit, have refreshments & the bonus of the Millennium Gallery to look around too.

you'll get the opportunity to see eccy road as the locals call it and walk along there into Sheffield city centre. I wouldn't bother with a car. There's a park in the opposite direction to town too so you'll have plenty to... More
