Went to see Macbeth at the Lyceum. Rufus Norris' production places Shakespeare's play in a modern, post-apocalyptic setting, with imaginative staging to bring this vision of the world to life. Cast was consistently strong and they played to a full house. I think this play...More

A wonderfully atmospheric theatre dating form the 1890s in which to put on a superbly atmospheric production of one of Shakespeare's great plays. From beginning to end the production was mesmerising. A spectacular set and lighting, first-rate acting, delicate direction. The entire cast was memorable,...More

Beautiful theatre, lovely atmosphere, cheap tickets, kind friendly staff. We were in stalls and the seats were comfy and had enough legroom. Don’t know about seats on upper levels though.

We caught the Supertram from Meadowhall to Sheffield. Good service. We looked around the Peace Building, very interesting exhibitions. We saw the Three Muscateers Ballet performed by the Northern Ballet, very good. The Lyceum is a beautiful old theatre.

You would only need to pay for a ticket for a child aged 2 years + children under this age can go free of charge and would sit on a parents knee

You may order and pay for drinks pre show at the bar. They will be waiting for you in the bar area on the fixed sides for the interval.
