Since the orangery was brought back to life a number of years ago the Botanical gardens are a lovely walk round. Don't forget to look out for the bear and bearpit

What a lovely place. A peaceful place to walk around and admire, a cafe to sit and relax . The kids loved it although it only takes 10 mins to walk round it was beautiful and we went in twice .

A slightly cold day to visit but still extremely nice, Great to see the squirrels hopping around either storing or digging up stored acorns and perhaps other nuts. Nice cafe to sit and have warm food and drinks.

Massive range of plants/flowers from around the globe. I can't believe that it's free entry. Giant greenhouses and a pleasant cafe.

So nice to have a but of nature in the city. Great in the summer to go and relax on the grass with a book or an autumnal stroll! Love this place and love Sheffield!

This is a beautiful park, but didn't really feel we saw the park in all of it's glory, possibly because it's winter and colder.

This is a beautiful little green space in the centre of Sheffield student land - peaceful but accessible. We always walk through the gardens when we visit our daughter who is a student and she loves to go and sit in there when she needs some solitude.

A long standing botanical garden in Sheffield. Very pleasant with open areas and secluded spots. Large refurbished greenhouses with exotic plants from around world. A genuine bearpit hidden in the trees, only bear now is an excellent statue. Good cafe by top gate. Lovely place to relax and sunbathe in Summer. Somewhat difficult to park before 9.30 and after 4.30.... More

Beautiful and peaceful gardens tucked away, but easily accessible, from the city centre. Always nice for a walk, especially in Spring/Summer. Enjoyable for all ages!
