Amazing historic working knife grinding mill driven by a water wheel - fabulous! We often call in for a warm by the fire on a cold walk to forge dam.

I used to come here with my parents when i was a kid. Good to see that it it still going and being kept well for future generations to see how Sheffield made its name, and how people used to have to make a living...More

A small museum and interactive opportunities. Very interesting, set in a lovely woods with some nice strolling. Very interesting to see it up running, and... its FREE!

This was really great. The best working water wheel and driven machinery I have every seen, and the two guides there on the day were fantastic. We went there as two adults while on a walk. Needs to be better advertised. Luckily Sheffield City Council...More

Right in the heart of a wonderful park is this gem, it's fascinating to go inside and see this wheel house being restored. Loved it :)

I did my work experience here in the mid 1970's, have visited hundreds of times over the past 50 years, and have written about it (elsewhere) at some length. For anyone interested in Sheffield/cutlery history, this will be a fascinating place to visit. Highly recommended....More
