I could spend all day walking around these woods listening to the birdsong. Even after the recent poor weather the bulk of the paths were in good nick and one of the beauties of these woods lies in the trees themselves. They have such character...More

You must visit! There are multiple trails, all of which are clearly marked and signed so you won't get lost. Some people go running, others stroll and many are armed with bikes or prams. There's something for everyone.

Plenty of interesting things to see on the walk, and came across a little cafe with outdoor & indoor seating, which would be lovely in summer. . Information leaflets . Free car parking.

It's a beautiful place at the best of times but it's a very special place to take the family in autumn. There are some interesting facts on boards as you walk around. A gorgeous woodland filled with history.

These woods are great for going for a relaxed stroll or a more serious walk. They've got well signposted paths which are generally well kept, and the woodland is beautiful with streams running through it, which make great places for kids to play!
