A wonderful evening in this beautiful Cathedral in the aid of the Chesterfield Royal Macmillan Cancer Centre organized by Macmillan Cancer support North Derbyshire Fundraising Committee. This was a very special evening with two wonderful chores and great stories told BT Dominic West, Jan Francis and Tom Chambers. Beautiful produced by so many hard working people.

Went here as part of the heritage opening days. It was decorated as it would have been in Victorian times with palm trees near the alter. We were very impressed at how this cathedral looks, the original paint colours are now back as they should be. Its really beautiful inside and really deserves a visit. We were warmly welcomed and... Tucked down a small side street is this fantastic Catholic cathedral. Last November Pope Francis announced that this year was the Year of Mercy and he named a few churches around the world to visit. This cathedral is one of the chosen ones, and they have taken their selection very seriously. There was a guide booklet to the church available... More

This is a Catholic Church. It is very beautiful inside & out. Situated right in the middle of city centre. Great to have picnics just outside. Come & light a candle and take a tour around the building if ur into architect some great history lies here. Very interesting, don't forget to put a small donation in the box on... More

In the middle of the city the cathedral is hidden in the streets but when you go inside the building glows and glows like it was out in the country. Very beautiful interior and stained glass. Attended a wedding so the cathedral was filled with music and singing. A hidden treasure and worth a visit.

Oh to be in England - history abounds and Sheffield is so lovely when you consider her long history. A train from London and seeing old friends. The history just oozes and the people are such fun.... the buildings tell so many stories and we all rush past - slow down and look around - History and stories are at... More

The door really makes a loud noise when you close it and when you go in all the visitors stare at you. I was just looking around the building with my suitcase pulling it along when I was stopped by the organist who pointed at me and told me to leave just because I was looking around at the features... Only a few metres from the Sheffield's main shopping centre, Fargate, yet once through the doors of the Cathedral, utter peace. Beautiful inside, the city's main Catholic church, constantly has people coming & going, yet you can still sit in quiet contemplation.
