Enjoyed a meat stuffed steak and wine pie and three different halves of beer. The landlady and barman sorted out the selection and brought everything out to the open area behind the pub. I use a wheelchair and access is difficult, so have to sit...More

As beer-loving tourists we visited a number of pubs on our holiday, and this was the best - it was worth coming to Reading just to visit this place! Certainly the largest selection we saw, and I only wish we could have come there more...More

My friend and I have frequented The Nags since it reopened, several years ago now. I have seen it grow from strength to strength. It is like having a beer festival everyday, with a fantastic selection of cask and keg ales and ciders. The prices...More

Typical: Darts, local people, pies, beer, cider. In a very familiar atmosphere. Just outside city center, easy car access and parking. An impressive selection of draft beers and ciders.

12 real ales. Craft lager. Cider. Don't get many of these anymore. A great bar with ever changing beers available. Really is a top place and deservedly wins awards year after year.

If you don't like The Nag's Head, I am tempted to say you don't like pubs at all. It is a proper drinking pub: fantastic ale, lager and cider selections as you would hope from somewhere with as many CAMRA certificates hanging up as this...More
