Located close to Reading railway station is this nice green park that contains a large lion statue, which is a war memorial for the Afgan War in 1880. Plenty of seats around the park and some nice flower beds. There are public toilets onsite.

This is a well-maintained, picturesque little park. As well as some statues and a bandstand, there are actually some important features like 2 pokestops and a pokemon gym. Annoyingly it's often dominated by team Mystic, which is my team and so doesn't offer much opportunity...More

A pleasant but not spectacular park on the site of the former Reading Abbey. There are a few interesting information boards, and it was the venue for a small free festival when i visited, but there is not a lot of interest otherwise.

At Forbury Gardens? It's a public garden, so just walk around and enjoy its beauty. If you want specific tips about other bits of Reading, feel free to ask - I live here.
