Excellent fresh cooked breakfast at the farm shop cafe. Always happy to accommodate weird dietary requests.

Visited this morning what a disgrace so run down broke. Fences and broken play equipment all accessible to children.
Tables outside the cafe broken and rotted very unkempt.
Whilst there we noticed 2 of the sheep were injured staff from cafe came out and didn’t seem interested at all. The animal pens were run down and barb wired fencing was broken and dangerous
Such a shame as it used to be lovely wouldn’t rush back here again

Visited Lockey farm on a bank holiday and it seemed an OK place first. Our 2-yr old had a decent time and this is why I am leaving a 3 instead of 1 star review.
However, the staff in the cafe looked over-worked and lack basic customer service.
They conveniently skipped my 33-week pregnant wife waiting in the queue for the next person and made her wait for 5 mins. before taking her order. Very akward and we won’t be returning.
Also, the restrooms were filthy.

This establishment has taken a bit of a pounding in reviews recently - mainly because they started charging and people felt it wasn’t worth the money. Well now they have decided to just introduce a donation scheme instead - you just pop your money in the pig - you are no longer locked in - and you can wander round the animals to your heart’s content. Our two year old grandson loved the alpacas, piglets, lambs and sheep, cows, donkeys and chickens - all looking well cared for to my layman’s eye.
He had a good scramble over the play area, spent a while in the large sandpit and climbed aboard the huge authentic tractor.
I think a bit of a stretch if we’d paid for the whole family so think the donation scheme is probably a better one. Thank you for a lovely afternoon 😊

Lambing season and a tour at Lockey farm wasn’t the best weather but was still fine and not to muddy.
It’s £5 for adults and under 2s are free you can look around the animals then get given a time to meet for the tour/guide and lambing.
It was informative and not to long but you could stay as long as you wanted at the lambing and hold and see a baby lamb being born if you are lucky.

Discovered by chance one day and have been back several times - for a small shop there is a lot of produce and so far everything we've had has been delicious.
Butcher staff are knowledgeable and helpful - we can't wait for BBQ season!!
Planning to try the café for breakfast sometime soon!

We visited as we often do living close by but today was not the best experience, we asked for our table to be cleared and wipe a young man came and took the dirty dishes away but food bits on the table were left. I had to ask for a clean tea cup as the one i had looked like it had'nt been washed the same young man gave me a look which to me said i was being fussy. On the plus side we did have a lovely breakfast although the breakfast was put onto cold plates we will visit again as hope it was just an off day. The cafe was not busy and there were empty tables.

I absolutely cannot complain for £4. Plenty of animals to see and children’s play equipment (park, sandpit, giant bouncy pillows). Was lovely and quiet. Will definitely be back. What more could a two year old want! The only thing which was a bit odd was the whole ringing the bell to be let out. I didn’t like that.

A lovely farm to take young children too. We had breakfast which was superb quality and good value. The little shop sells ice-creams and other essential. You can buy a good selection of local eggs, meat and honey at reasonable prices.

The farm shop and grounds can be accessed but the cafe has steps going up. The carpark is filled with pepple gravel which might make it difficult but not impossible.
