Had a really interesting and enjoyable day here. The house is superb and we took a free tour round the ground floor rooms with a really knowledgeable guide which we would recommend. We also took an additional tour of the Duke and Duchesses private apartments...More

We chose to visit on the day of the Chinese New Year event as we had young children and thought it would interest them more than the palace rooms. However the Chinese event was advertised as food stalls as well as lion dance and music...More

Do the behind-the-scenes-tour, it's worth it just for some of the extra info the guides share with you. But most of all, walk the gardens and parkland. It's an incredible and peaceful place.
