    Well planned shopping centre
We have visited Westgate Oxford numerous times but this is the first time I thought of reviewing the centre. The main attraction ti the shopping centre is the vast number of stores and the ease of parking as it's a hassle finding parking in Oxford. Better yet they have around 50 EV parking spots as well which make it so convenient. However, I'd say the parking charges are over the top as it's more expensive than parking at shopping centres in Lonodn. The spacious layout makes navigation easy although it's unavoidable to bump into people at peak hours. The top floor is full of various restaurants catering various cuisines. The cinema complex provides entertainment options for all ages. The center's cleanliness and well-maintained facilities add to the overall positive impression. Despite this, Westgate remains a bustling hub for retail therapy and leisure activities, making it a must-visit destination in Oxford.

    Disappointed
A struggle getting to the car park due to road closures and road blocks throughout Oxford creating endless traffic jams and delays. On arrival there was plenty of parking regardless of many (empty) EV charging points and the cost of parking was excessive compared to other shopping centres within easy reach (Swindon, High Wycombe, Reading) The Westgate centre itself was light and airy although there appeared to be a few vacant premises that gave the impression of decline considering the few years it has been open. Located on the fringe of Oxford city centre which also has many vacant premises other than restaurants, coffee shops, and souvenirs, of which there are plenty as you dodge the busses and cyclists on the road outside the Westgate. The Westgate shops (other than a nice size Primark) I found expensive, and although the footfall within the Westgate appeared to be busy, the actual shops were relatively empty. We then joined the traffic in the fight to leave Oxford and it's crazy transport policy's.

Great shopping but slow time as parking is a nightmare
Large range of shops, cheap to expensive. John Lewis is a treat. Allow plenty of time as parking queue and space is horrendous. Non electric car in electric spaces which is irritating if you need to charge.

Nice shops but expect to pay full price and parking is dear
Big sprawling shopping centre linked to the town centre. We went from approximately 1000 to 1700 and the parking was £13. This wouldn't be a problem if you got reasonable sales/discounts from the shops (we are probably spoilt as we normally go to outlet centres), but everything is full price pretty much. Despite that the place is throbbing with activity.

    Good job
Personally love it. Great shops for fashion and food. Tech and accessories too. The partial open plan is great. Bright and airy. Parking facility is good and reasonably priced.

Living next door to shopping centre is very handy in some ways but….why does the centre think its acceptable to test their PA system at 5.30am in the morning,!,,Have tried to contact them but have been ignored maybe now they might think of testing their PA system at a reasonable time😡

Called here today as weather terrible only spent an hour here as £4.20 first hour absolute scandalous I’m surprised they can get away with it as Bicester village free and better shops.unusual set up shopping centre Some under cover some not ,not many shops for us but thought id try as in area.wouldn’t rush back any time as main route closed had to divert another few miles or so to come here which was a big disappointment.

A shopping centre merely full of bars and restaurants. Took ages to finally get to the car park. I was stuck in traffic for 1 hour. Next time I’ll go to MK

From perfect case study on electric charging/parking/shopping to the worst electric car charging experience. How have Westgate managed to go backwards from what was a genuine exemplar experience? I have been raving for years to local businesses, friends and shoppers how amazing the Westgate was for EV users. You arrive, plug and shop. Free charging, no hassle and only the occasional petrol vehicle in a EV space. They seem to have changed provider for their charging. After 20 mins I gave up. There is no signal, so you need to get on the wifi, which requires you to fill in your life history, then you need to authenticate that email, but without wifi, it's buggy and doesn't work. If you are successful in getting on the wifi, you have to get the charging working, which doesn't want to work as there is no signal and the wifi erratic. Finally after 15 mins of faffing with QR codes and wifi, it doesn't play nice with the charger code. After 20 mins, I gave up and had got no further. After leaving I recieved the emails necessary to sign up. What a stupid step backwards. It's like they've gone back to the original early days of EV charging in 2019? What was a perfect example is now genuinely the worst EV charging experience I've had in my 3 years of charging. Why did you change it? I suggest the staff actually try the experience themselves from scratch as a user and understand how painful it can be on first attempt. I will not be using it again and will also be updating everyone I know who I used to promote it to! Who on earth made this decision? From EV utopia to EV hell!

I went on a Sunday morning and the car park was completely full. The thing I was annoyed about was that the light system telling you where there is free parking was not working. My parents and I drove round and round. Please could this issue be resolved, and it would be helpful if there was some indication on how full the parking lot is outside of the parking lot.

We visited using the park and ride which stops right outside.
The centre has a great selection of shops and is light and open, so a very pleasant shopping experience.
The only negatives are the positioning of the main public toilets which are quite remote on the roof terrace and accessed via a small bride.
We also found the dining disappointing, especially the street food area.
