The Theatre Royal is a lovely old-fashioned theatre. I had a seat in the stalls today and there was plenty of legroom. In the past I have sat higher in the auditorium and there was very little legroom and it was uncomfortable. I find Nottingham people very friendly and the staff here are always helpful and pleasant. If anyone likes... More

Excellent theatre with air con and good sight lines. Helpful staff and reasonably priced items to eat and drink from the concession stands. Good view from most of the seating on all levels.

Lovely old fashioned theatre, but the rows were very close together meaning that anyone tall has to be careful not to knee the person in front. Seats were also quite small, larger visitors could find them uncomfortable. The staff were good, helpful with directions. Drinks were very expensive and served in plastic cups, the bar staff worked well to make... More

The Theatre Royal was a huge favourite for pantomimes as a child; and helping out at the Scout Gang Shows; seeing Morecambe and Wise and also Lonnie Donegan, live, but with decent seating are happy memories. A late booking on a trip back to my home city, to see Jasper Carrott, was something I was looking forward to, but all... More

We are sorry to hear about your experience during your recent visit. The Theatre Royal is an older building and as such there are certain restrictions that we have to work within and some areas of the auditorium have less legroom than others. Our Box Office team are fully conversant with all areas of seating and are on hand from... More

Great trip down memory lane with this Fred Astaire dance ensemble. Only negative of the whole night is the bar staff didn't even attempt to smile whilst serving my friend & I or any other person being served (we observed as we had our drink in the vicinity). All other venue staff members were courteous. pleasant and smiled.

This is my favourite of all theatres. I have seen so many world-class performances here, I have to pinch myself that i was not dreaming. I miss it terribly and would fly across the ocean to be here again.

Visited for a concert and had a great experience. The venue has easy access to all levels with lifts and stairs. The signs are easy to follow which makes finding your seat easy. There are toilets on all levels which is good. The only down side is the bars as one bar was cash only meaning you have to go... More

Went to the Concert Hall to see an Opera for the first time in over 20 years since I saw Aida in London. Great music and singers along with the choir. The contemporary setting was simple, however it told the story well. Had the translation shown in English. My only criticism was that main characters mix of Prince Calaf needed... More

We have been to this theatre several times and never been disappointed. We normally get seats in the stalls about five rows back but this time we were up with the gods. That didn't detract from a high quality show which we could watch without any obstruction. The sound quality was excellent. When we go again, and I'm sure we... More
