This is quite a large church, with probably the root screen the most important item, as legend has it that near the root screen Robyn Hood was arrested. On the side is presumably the oldest door in Nottingham, framed by the picture of King Richard...More

The interior was closed when I went along, which was disappointing, but the outside is a great example of late Medieval/early Tudor architecture. I'll review this again if I ever get inside.

Fantastic old church, so full of character. Went to an event and the volunteers could not have been more helpful.

I visited St, Mary's for a family funeral. It was a lovely church, with all of the usual fixtures. Well maintained and cared for.

Gives an insight into the history of the people of Nottingham. By reading all the memorials, it is clear that there were some influential families with great military connections.

It's great to walk in the church after the hustle and hustle of the shops. You can really have great faith in this place. It really is very spiritual.😊😇

Sited in the old Lace manufacturing area of Nottingham it's easy to get the feel for how it all must have been in the old days. Simply wander round the church and the area.

We were going to have a look at this church but what appeared to be the main entrance steps had some workmen attending to them and it was cordoned off. We enquired if the church was open and it was suggested we walk down the...More

Tried one entrance but grounds were blocked by builders, tried the next entrance but the gates were padlocked shut, finally found an entrance gate open but the church itself was shut up so we couldn’t get to go inside. If the outside was anything to...More
