St. Mary's was a very nice church to visit if your in town, we kind of just bumped into on a walk. It worth taking a few minutes to view since as like most things is full of historical significance.

Small, ancient church near the Lace Market. In reasonable shape on the inside and with stained glass and chapels. There is some restoration work in progress but the outside is generally in poor condition

A landmark of Nottingham although not a lot to see here. Not comparable to other churches in other large cities.

I have visited the church on a occasions that are happy and also sad. The one constant thing is the church itself, an oasis of calm, in the buzzing centre of the City.

Tucked away in the narrow cobbled streets of the Lace Market quarter, St Mary's is a gem well worth the time to search out. Mentioned in the Domesday Book and believed to date back to Saxon times, this is the oldest church in Nottingham .....More

For me the 8am communion on Sunday is the best service to attend. Reason being that as an autistic person, I find it more easier to concentrate as their are less distractions than the mid morning service like the noise of the children when they...More

Only a 10-minute walk from the castle, this is a quiet little church in Lace Market. The current building is a few hundred years old, but there has been a church here for much longer and has ties to the legend of Robin Hood. Best...More

Such a lovely place very close to the city centre. Don't confuse it for the nearby structure the 'Picture and Piano' that is a pub restaurant. The church is a real original and well worth a short trip from town.
