Wilderness country it was magnificent driving in such beautiful scenery the road was quiet so could enjoy surrounding countryside. The hills were majestic in the sunlight

We decided to visit Muker and the Buttertubs Pass was on our route. The scenery is wild moorland and the road is typical of the area with ups and downs and fairly narrow. The Buttertubs themselves were worth spending a little while to marvel at...More

Drove through the pass today. Had fantastic weather so the views were outstanding. Would recommend a visit.

The Buttertubs are a couple of potholes beside the road, well worth stopping to peer into. When we went it was cloudy and damp and the polished stone is slippery when wet. I did mangage to slip but only wounded my dignity. Nice drive to...More

If you love the outdoors and can walk it's good to be here. If on the other hand you can't walk then you must visit. The views just stunning. Nun said.

Beautiful countryside with some lovely fleeting views that pass you by as you concentrate on the roads. Probably best as the passenger, although the passenger may well need to help with some moments of fine manoeuvring when you are meet oncoming traffic on rocky and...More

I was expecting the pass to be longer (there are longer and more impressive ones in the region) and for there to be more 'buttertubs', However, I think I missed at least one (which from others pictures, looks to be the most impressive of them)...More
