A really interesting place to visit, the collection of the Yorkshire regiment and the component regiments is a pleasure to look round. It’s tastefully put together with some great exhibits that keep you interested during your visit. There’s uniforms and lots of artefacts to see and read about . Especially the mounted figure of a ww1 soldier.

An interesting museum detailing the accomplishments of the Prince of Wales' Own Regiment of Yorkshire and the Royal Dragoon Guards. I particularly enjoyed the WW2 watercolours.
The ticket lasts for one year.

A small but very nice museum, with an interesting collection of items. Took me about an hour to go round. Considering the entry price it is good value.

We stumbled across this on the way to Clifford’s Tower.

It’s a lovely little place with lots of interesting artefacts - a real hidden gem.

The museum itself is relatively small, but it’s jam packed with things to look at and very well laid out.

With a small group of 6 year olds it took us around 45 minutes to get around.

We are so glad you enjoyed your visit and that there were plenty of things for your group to enjoy. A bit like the TARDIS - we are bigger on the inside.

Was told about this museum, husband was desperate to see it, but unfortunately was unable to, as the disabled lift was broken (apparently since march) the curator was so apologetic, says that the MOD hasn’t got around to it (apparently this museum is low on its priority) well shame on the MOD, it is depriving disabled veterans from this museum. We had to leave as it was impossible for him to see the museum, my husband was so very upset as we had made a special journey.

I am sure this is a very good museum, if only we had got beyond the reception.

I am so very sorry for the disappointment. I know we discussed the problem of maintaining the stairlift within the MOD operating procedures with you. We have complained and have been assured the stairlift will be fixed shortly. Please get in touch with us the next time you would like to visit and we will arrange complimentary tickets and a tour to apologise for the poor service.

We do have some interesting machine guns - it's nice when people appreciate the collections. We are quite a small venue - we used to be a Territorial Drill Hall, which has been converted into the museum you see today. Thank you for visiting and taking the time to leave a comment. It is much appreciated.

A small museum which is beautifully and thoughtfully set out and which pays fitting tribute to those people it represents.

Very interesting displays for me the highlight being the items that once belonged to Captain Oates.

Wheelchair accessible and toilets on site.
