A gem of a Church not to be missed! Internally it is now square thanks to additions over the years and it is possible to stand in the centre and enjoy a 360 degree appreciation of the magnificent windows. I visited St Denys church whilst taking part in a stained glass study and was amazed at the welcome from such a small church. Despite being struck by lightning and being hit by cannon fire during the English Civil war the church boasts some amazing stained glass some dating from the 12th century. We stayed at the St Denys Hotel and the St Denys Church is just opposite to the hotel. Unlike many big churches or cathedrals, St Denys Church welcome everyone to visit it for free.
