Dropped into the temporary exhibition in St Mary's church while the main attraction is still under going maintenance following the floods of 2015. What a great attraction this is, so much so we will be back when the main attraction reopens on 8th April 2017. Staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and keen to interact and the exhibits they have put... More

We dropped in to the temporary exhibition at St Mary's church on Coppergate which is where part of the collection is being held whilst the main attraction is refurbished after the devastating Boxing Day floods. Yes it is a small part of the collection but curated with great care and staffed by exceptional volunteers and staff who make every effort... More

Part of the Jorvik Viking Center has moved next door into a church. Not a lot there, but interesting and informative. Fun. Costumed 'Vikings'. Go upstairs for more. Perfect to get pictures of you and a Viking.

The temporary display in the church next door is very good. The guides know their stuff and are very good at passing it on! The interactive exhibition such as the dressing up part is good for the kids.

The 5 yr old really enjoyed the kids activity part with dress up and tent. The exhibit is really quite small and cursory. Had some friendly staff actors.

Really helpful and knowledgable staff - interesting if this period of history appeals to you. The church where it is housed is quite nice

We visited the temporary exhibition on a quiet Friday in February. All the staff we met were incredibly friendly, helpful and informative, and happy to answer our questions. The exhibits we saw were in good condition with plenty of information. I'm sure the actual Jorvik Viking Centre will be fabulous when it re-opens in April this year, but this is... More
