This is a museum with a difference, full of patchwork quilts of all colours and designs .Some are very old and well preserved. All those with an interest in needlework will enjoy going and looking and appreciating the work involved in making them.

I visited York because I am interested in history. I visited the quilt museum since entry was free with the York pass. The old building is nice, but to me the quilts were uninspiring.

Sadly closing, the Quilt Museum in York has been a regular haunt for me for years. The exhibitions are always interesting and thought provoking....obviously some more interesting than others depending on personal taste. As an artist it is a valuable resource lost to the UK.

Had great expectations after reading about this exhibition and having an interest in quilting but thought this pricey for a relatively small exhibition. It is held in a beautiful building and only two rooms are used to exhibit.

What a little treasure this museum is. There was a wonderful exhibition on when we visited that included the work of Sara Impey which was worth the admission fee alone. The staff on hand were very friendly and knowledgeable about the works on show.

This, the last exhibition of the year at the Quilt Museum, is simply a "Must See" event. Simply fabulous and highly thought-provoking. Even if you've never thought of quilts as Art before now, do take a look prepare to change your mind. Five stars!

Hardly any quilts on show and those that were didn't merit showing. Really disappointing and we got our money back. The room was much more worth seeing than the quilts!

We went to the superb Kaffe Fassett exhibition - it's finished now so my review is on the space. The exhibition space is a large room upstairs which provides a great area for displaying quilts. Check the exhibition for when you're in town and if...More
