we try to visit this church every year to light a candle for my father in law. It is a stunningly beautiful church that is well worth the climb up the 199 steps to get to it.

This was a lovely place to visit - the pews look pretty hard. There is a funny pulpit and some great ear trumpets! Much more sobering was the wall of names of people lost in the wars.

After climbing the steep 199 steps you are greeted with the satisfying view of the church and Whitby harbour. Its free to enter the church but please support the cause.
