We hiked it July 19-aug 5. Lovely weather although the heat wave Made it a little tough some days. Definitely preferred the colder and wetter temperatures in the lake district as it made hiking A little easier

We used sherpavans site to identify camping areas. Go to their accommodation list. Towns are listed in order from west to east . Each town has a list of accommodation suggestions with reviews and distance off the path.

It is public walk available for every one around the year. But services that carry package may be not available during winter months (C2C packhorse, Sherpa van). So if you are carrying your package yourself, it is possible... More
