Lovely Place

There is no where better for a bit of piece and quiet, with lovely maintained walks and plenty of wildlife.

We walked here this morning - you may have to ask at High Ash Farm for directions to the car park at the top of the hill (free). From there you can walk for miles on lovely grassy paths over the farmland (which is FULL of wildlife), and/or down to the interesting site of Venta Iceniium which was the centre... More

Really well maintained and signposted with lots of wildlife and great views. Dogs must be on leads but this is a small price to pay!

High Ash Farm actively supports wild bird life with its variety of seed crops left standing through the autumn and winter months and is a wonderful place to see birdlife.

The most amazing place to walk your dog. They need to stay on the lead, but there is still lots of room for them to run around

We go several times a year and love it more each time. It's hard to believe this amenity is so close to Norwich and so diverse. With grandchildren who love nature and a daughter and son-in-law who have less free time than they'd like, at every opportunity we hop in the car, pack a picnic, binoculars and cameras a "must"... This is a lovely farm now largely turned over to wildlife crops, with wide grassy paths kept mown so the public can enjoy Chris Skinner's permissive paths, and join up with the Boudicca Way if they so wish too. An oasis of calm just outside Norwich, parking is easy and free next to Caistor St Edmund church and Venta Icenorum... More

This is a wonderful area a few miles from Norwich city centre, and the land owner has set this land aside, for Nature Conversation, Route clearly marked, wide and well maintaned. (Permissive Open Access). Opposite you can Visit the Venta Icenorum, Roman Town Walls, Burial Ground etc., down into the river Valley, and part of the Boudicca Way, which you... More

Decided to visit High Ash Farm for a dog walk after reading about it in the Edp. Free parking at the Roman fort then cross the busy road into High Ash Farm. There is a map just as you enter so you can see the different paths you are permitted to use. The paths are wide and well kept and... More

The walks on High Ash farm are a wonderful place to spend a few hours. A great deal of effort has gone in to making the walks interesting and user friendly. Walks are all clearly marked with the occasionally strategically located bench along the way. Lots of wildlife to see, and boards are found along the way with information about... More
