Has a very long history of cheap architecture (noisy and flimsy)
drunkenness in the residences drugs and worse.
Miserable grey wet concrete.
Very politicised agenda.
Not really respected by employers I found.
Very smug and conceited attitude in many quarters.
Might have been the coolest a long long time ago.(1973?)

Review of the UEA LCR for gigs only.
It’s a terrible venue for gigs particularly if the gig is sold out.
The bottom bit looks okay but the upper floor near the bar has such an obscured view because of all the concrete columns and the low ceiling that you can see virtually nothing.
I won’t be going back.
The gig itself was ace but the venue is shocking.

My daughter has dragged me around the country visiting Uni's and I have to say, the UEA did it for me.....and my daughter! Yes, we did Cambridge, Nottingham (twice), Durham, Sheffield etc. etc. yet there was something about the UEA that caused us both to visualise Uni life; a sort of love at first site, so UEA has been chosen and a good choice at that so far :)

If there’s a specific entry for this I can’t find it.
LCR is Norwich’s biggest gig venue outside of parks.
Seen some cracking gigs here. It’s about 2,000 people and the atmosphere is great.
If you’re a gig goer you’ve probably been.
If not treat yourself it’s great.
This month it was Feeder. Another good one.

Lovely place to eat after viewing some of the Sainsbury treasures. Great for a coffee or lunch in pleasant surroundings with a lovely view.

Take a picnic to have beside the lake on UEA campus and then enjoy a walk beside the lake and down beside the river, peaceful and beautiful path.

Left UEA 40 years ago, went back never expecting to find it still relatively unchanged! Just MUCH bigger! The old 60's Brutalist blocks still remain, as do the famous "Ziggurats" halls of residence. Not sure if anyone but ex-students or architecture buffs would ever want to visit, though.

The buildings in this university are not impressive as they are relatively "modern" and comprise mainly squarish or rectangular-shaped ones. The only exception is the "Earlham Hall" which is the Law Faculty building and is a strikingly attractive building.

I visited UEA for a training course and was very impressed with The Enterprise Centre - what an amazing, progressive building!

I walked around in the university after being dropped by my friend's daughter who had to leave us for lecture. My friend and I took a break in a restaurant which was an isolated building with tall windows that allowed us to view the green grasses outside. The food are nice and environment are peace. Moreover, holding some out-dated British money notes, I could easily find a bank nearby to change my money into valid ones.

Is the university available to look round in the evening ?
I am trying to arrange a mystery trip in June for 36 ladies wondered,if the Sainsbury centre would also be available.
If any of the above are possible perhaps you would be kind enough to contact me.
Kind Regards Joyce Reynolds on behalf of Abbey Circle.
