The building is a major part of this museum. My first comment, however, is that the museum is quite hard to find, set back from the road, and our first attempt to visit was on a Tuesday when it is closed (it is closed on...More

A complex building of nooks and crannies that has been added to and altered over many centuries. Many contemporary items set in rooms presented as from their period. A real gem.

This museum is hidden away but not hard to find. The rooms are set out to represent different times in the life of the building and are very authentic. Worth a visit.

Ancient and fascinating building, great exhibits, so much history so well kept. Medieval Elizabethan feels great inside.

What a lovely little museum, tucked out of the way - we happened on it in passing, and as it was only an hour til closing we only paid £1.50 entry. Lovely helpful staff and well laid out museum with lots of information.
