I have recently visited the castle museum to view an exhibition called "Fishermen to Kings". It was an eyeopener to say the least, did you know that a woman photographer captured the sadness and patriotism of the trenches in the first world war? I was amazed that this lady, Olive Edis, was one of only five British photographers to cover... More

A great day out for my family at a very good price. The staff were polite and engaged with us and others using the museum. Some really good inter actable computer stations made learning more fun for my little boy

We had a great time here, so much more to see than we imagined, we did the dungeon tour too which was really interesting, the guide was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend it to all ages. We had a nice lunch in the cafe too. There are lockers to store your bags if you want, a returnable pound is needed,... More

A fantastic rainy day activity where the kids will love the various exhibitions and games and activities that are in the main keep! Would recommend that you find out the times of the visits to the battlements and dungeon!! My kids loved it and we will revisit the castle many more times yet. Give it a go...you won't be disappointed!

The castle museum is a brilliant place to visit for all. In this occasion we attended the Olive Edis exhibition which was fantastic. In addition, we listened to the free lecture about war photography from a feminist perspective by a research curator at the imperial war museum. Setting out the wider context, this was very informative and left us wanting... More

All the items inside were donated for the people on Norwich to see but its cost prohibitive to get in. Its cheaper to go to cambridge on the train or look don and access free museums.

We arrived late afternoon and a helpful staff member told us that if we went in an hour before closing it was £2 instead of £8.we did not see any information displayed to publicise this. It is a very big building on 3 floors and we would have been hard pressed to spend several hours there. We did enjoy the... More

The castle was very good value for money. Could have stayed a lot longer than the time we had. We had an excellent guide showing us the layout and how the castle was used in the past. He was full of enthusiasm and really enjoyed being a volunteer. We had lunch in the cafe and that was good value and... More

If you are a tourist visiting Norwich, your visit would not be complete without a visit to the castle. Very educational for all ages. Allow at least 4 hours to make worth while.

This castle is well worth a visit. We spent four hours looking around the castle and all the other individual rooms. So interesting. Lots of dressing up for the children to do. Other things to to keep them occupied. Cafe was good and very reasonable in price. And has a lift to all floors.
