We spent hours exploring the castle keep and Museum. What an amazing display! The keep is VERY family friendly, open and stroller accessible with lots for children to do. The upper levels have wonderful exhibits, worth exploring every room.

The Castle dominates the centre of the city. Within its huge square keep there is vast open space with a gallery running round the perimeter. Originally there was a floor across the whole space but now just the gallery. I found nothing of note within...More

A relatively new looking building didnt look 1000 years old. Fabulous atmosphere inside and very interesting. Disabled friendly in nearly all areas. Food as always expensive. Very well laid out. We went to see Nelson's flag and it was amazing.

I don't think dogs are allowed inside the castle but probably in the grounds. The castle is accessed by steps and lift from a public thoroughfare where there are seats and people have dogs on leads.
