Good for a short walk. There is a car park and map, but the route isn't that clear once you are on the path. Very steep in places.

What a blast from the past. Me and my friends used to be here all the time when I went to the hewett school. Forgot about this place and all the fun we had, may have to make a visit to show my kids

Just across the road from the Holiday Inn. Unless you are curious to wander down Marston Road you might never spot this. The noticeboard says that in 1900s it was a chalk quarry and you can still see the workings in between the several footpaths...More

Danby Wood is big with great for a dogs and kids to explore,tweeting birds and squirrels up tress.The marsh further down,is HUDGE! lots to see like cows,horses and birds a plenty!Very good views of fields nd you can see miles on clear day.

Great park for the children to play in. Cutting through the wood you can get to Eaton Marshes and go for a walk along the river. In the middle of the countryside yet a stone's throw from the A140!!

Yes it is, depending on your ability there are simple paths through or more advanced slopes, also Marston marsh just the other side of marsdon lane
