Neighbourhood: Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.

    Great Museum
This is a great museum. It was very informative, and it had a great lay-out. The bottom floor has real photographs of some of the victims, so it may not be suitable for younger visitors. My younger sons (12 and 14) stayed in the gift shop when I was on the bottom floor. I am very glad we went to the museum; I learned a lot. Highly recommend!

First Visit To Jack The Ripper Museum
We visited the museum and on arrival we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who explained how much the tickets were to the layout of the museum. We started the tour not knowing what to expect but were really pleased with the exhibits and all the information on the walls relating to the room we were in. The five levels of rooms were really interesting and we were 100% happy with our visit and highly recommend that you pay a visit and see for yourself.

Fab, intimate tour, respectful, friendly and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend.
We attended the museum and guided walk on Sunday. The museum was cool and gave you lots of info on the victims. However the guided walk topped it. Sam our guide was a fountain of knowledge, about the ripper case and the history of London. We passed another tour group on the way that must have had atleast 30 people in it. But we were only a group of 7 making it alot more interactive, but not in a cheesy entertaining way. I was very happy we discovered this tour, and would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent Experience, Great Value for Money!
We did the tour on our own and was easy to navigate. Started at the top of the building and worked our way down to the Morgue, very informative and the rooms we saw were quite realistic, having read various books on this. Friendly lady on Reception too. The weather was extremely hot, over 30 degrees, but as it was only a short walk from our hotel it wasn't much of a problem, we used google Maps and found it straight away. All in all a good find and would definitely recommend for the money!

    Cool museum, very knowledgeable curator.
Very cool museum, lots of creepy props and items on exhibit. There’s lots of stairs (5 floors) but, fortunately there’s a lift if you have any mobility issues. Magda at the front desk is a wealth of knowledge and can answer all of your questions with ease!

    A very informative guided tour
We very much enjoyed our trip to the museum very interesting. Beth who was on the desk when we arrived was very helpful. We also.do the walking tour. Although I have worked in the area for a number of years and knew some of the history I learnt so much more from our guide Sam. Altogether a very interesting and enjoyable afternoon

A hundred minutes well spent with Sam.
Brilliant day out. The museum was really interesting full of information and curiosities. But the real fun began with Sam. The walk was not only historical it was also full of facts and information we had never heard before. The walk through the back streets of White Chapel was excellent. Sam is full of knowledge and puts dates over clearly and did not shy away from the horrific things that happened. We all loved it and would highly recommend this tour.

    Well worth popping in
Tucked away in Cable Street and certainly worth a visit if you’re in the area. Tardis like experience with several floors in what looks like a tiny museum. Make sure you read all the information boards as it gives you personal background on the victims. There is a fair amount of repetition but even so it’s interesting and atmospheric. As an OAP the cost was very good value being just £8. Make sure you visit Wiltons Music Hall around the corner in Graces Alley

    Lovely little museum
A lovely little museum with some interesting exhibits. On every story, there is a little room with meticulously crafted scenes. On the second floor, you can try on hats and coats from the era of the Ripper Murders, which is a very nice feature. Also, printed guides are available in some common languages like German, which makes the visit more convenient for tourists from abroad, like myself. The whole visit takes about an hour, based on the time the visitor spends with the exhibits. It's definitely worth a visit.

The museum had the right atmosphere and loads of facts about the crimes, suspects and details about the victims. The staff were really pleasant.
Our Walking Tour guide, Sam, was incredibly knowledgeable, not only of the Ripper facts, but the history of the area, giving us a feeling of what it was like at the time of the murders.

The museum was well done with actual artifacts and intrigue. We also took the walking tour, and learned a lot about how terrible both the murders and the general area were at the time. Sam was a good guide, and took us down the alleys where it all happened.

The museum was very interesting, and definitely worth a visit, but i honestly preferred the guided walk with Sam.

His knowledge was vast and he offered incredible insight into every facet to do with not only the ripper killings, but the history of london as a whole.

The best tour i have ever been on!

The lady who worked there was the best thing about this. The walls were filled with bits of newspaper cuttings, but no proper narrative of the events. Four women who died around the same time were added to the "Canonical Five" but with no explanation of why they were suspected victims. I didn't learn anything I didn't know already and I'm glad it didn't cost more than it did or I would be really upset!

Great tour!!!🤩 Sam, the guide, showed us many places (not only linked to Jack the Ripper) and talked about so many unknown details; the tour was VERY interesting - the best 2 hours on Sunday afternoon in a long time! And fabulous surprise for my son! Highly recommended👍👍👍

The museum is a very good roadside attraction type location. 5 floors of displays focusing on the victims, the suspects, the police and London itself at the times of the attacks. They also offer some costume pieces in some of the rooms to take pictures if your are so inclined. Where the experience excelled was with the walking tour they offered. My tour guide was Magda and she proved herself to be both passionate and knowledgeable on the subject. On my day it ended up being a private tour and I felt in no way the experience was compromised. She engaged me in conversation the whole time, speculating about suspects and motives ranging from socioeconomics to cultural trends. The tour is something to not be missed.

We attend the musem yesterday 15th of June. The lady working was incredibly friendly and informative. The musem itself is full of historical information regarding jack the ripper over 5 floors and is totally disabled accessible. The building itself we was told Is older than Jack's crimes and has incredible creeky flooring that just adds a little bit of spooky factor to the experience.
I would recommend going.

The Jack the Ripper tour and museum with Sam. What a great tour and guide. Sam is a total historian and not only gave us the history of Jack’s crimes but also gave us a history of the neighborhood, the victims and the time period it happened. I would recommend this tour to everyone. GREAT TOUR SAM!!!
