Neighbourhood: Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Third visit, early evening weekday.
Good vibe - some people just in for the cafe.
Bit of confusion about where to get tickets.
Theatre 3 very comfortable seats slightly reclining.
Tickets £18.50 each. Pricy? Not sure these days...

This is our go to place now for coffees or cocktails. The staff are so lovely and really make an effort to get to know the regular patrons. The banana loaf is absolutely delicious as is the coffee and cocktails.

Excellent cappuccino , friendly staff , relaxed vibe and reasonable prices.
Thoroughly enjoyed the ambience with a coffee and coconut muffin while awaiting family at a west end show.
The hot dog was also delicious, would certainly return when visiting London again.

Loved this venue - not a huge cinema goer but this was a lovely experience. Had a bonus Q&A by the films director at the end which was fab!

Excellent service and lovely ushers and front of house staff. They also have a wide range of films to see and it’s very close to the station and in a good location in central London. The setting is also clean and you can tell that it is regularly refurbished as it always looks good as new when I visit. Definitely recommend especially if you want to see independent and art house films.

Lovely cinema with a leaning towards Art House movies. Nice coffee shop with cake on the ground floor - cinemas and bar are downstairs. The seats were very comfortable and, for once in a cinema, the air con was set to Siberia temperatures. Easy to book online, although for an early (mid-morning) showing, it wasn't really necessary.

Staff friendly and helpful and there is a nice atmosphere throughout. Easy to get to from Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus tube stations and close to lots of restaurants and bars in theatre land.

Came after ages post-lockdown. Boiling hot Saturday and needed some air conditioning! Suggest with the social distancing and limited seats to book in advance online. Easy to do. Good service, really friendly staff. Lovely location with a bar and cafe as well. One way system with the pandemic. I had a coffee to drink. If you can, go a bit early and have a drink or coffee before the movie starts or you can take your refreshments inside with you. Clean. Seats are not the most comfortable but their fine. Not cheap but they show movies that I like. Attracts a more mature crowd.

My travelling buddy & I wanted to do something ordinary like watch a movie in a cinema. We were surprised & ecstatic that the London Pass gave us that chance. Even better was that the Curzon Cinema was in Soho!

We planned to visit after a lovely dinner at Bill’s. One of the waiters gave us instructions on how to get there. Before arriving at Curzon Cinema, we saw Agatha Christie’s Memorial, Ku - an award winning Gay bar, the Joy Luck Club Restaurant named after the movie itself & the entrance to Chinatown.

When we finally arrived, we were greeted by red neon lights & the cinema looked as if it was from another era. We went in excitedly. Since we had the London Pass on us, we did not have to pay for the movie tickets. Without the London Pass, be prepared to pay at least £16.50 for a single ticket. Unfortunately, we were too late as all the movies had started screening. In the end, we decided to wait for the next available movie. The Irishman was in about an hour’s time.

We waited patiently & went into our cinema. The seats were red in colour & of velvet material. We chose seats that were at the back & close to the doors. The movie was screened in Dolby 5.1 surround sound. I think I fell asleep after 30 minutes into the movie. It was a combination of exhaustion from all the walking, comfortable seats & slow movie that forced me into a slumber. My friend woke me up & we decided to leave.

Curzon Soho has 3 floors & 3 screens. There’s also a bar & a café. The bar can accommodate 250 people. The theatre is heavily used for industry award evenings, private screenings & film festivals. It is also home to independent film & art house releases, documentary events & regular directors Q&As. Free WiFI is available at the lobby.

It was quite fun & exciting really. You can’t help but wonder which movie star had stepped into the cinema & who you might bump into. I would definitely visit it again when I’m not too tired.

I went to see a film early Wednesday evening, the staff are very friendly & helpful. They show some great movies & have several areas to have a drink in.

Unfortunately during the movie you could hear chairs being moved about which was rather distracting.

Also don’t order a coffee as it’s pretty bad. It’s a shame as the Curzon in Wimbledon makes great coffee.

Lovely warm, cosy atmosphere, great screens, comfortable seats and good sound, along with a quiet, cine literate, conscientious crowd..... what's not to love. NEVER ONCE encountered some loud mouthed cretin having a loud conversation on their mobile during the movie, unlike many a London multiplex. This cinema is one of London's lesser known gems.
