We decided to come here just before Christmas to really get into the Christmas spirit. The scenery and the rink it’s self is beautiful with nice lights and Christmas decorations/trees. Unfortunately the rink was incredibly overcrowded, and for the price we paid we were quite...More

I loved everything about skating at the Somerset House, I wish the session was longer! The staff is very attentive and helpful. The music and the lights are amazing and everything is very well organized. I also appreciate that they now have gender neutral toilets.

Probably the best rink in London. The location was perfectly placed in the central courtyard of this fantastic building. The rink was well maintained and not too busy. Very family and romantics friendly. Unlike certain other local rinks this was a comfortable size and you...More

Somerset House, a magnificent Georgian Neoclassical building, hugs the temporary ice rink located in the central courtyard and provides a stunning backdrop for the skating activities. The skating is frantic and fun, but the operators do cram to many participants onto to the ice in...More

This event I highly recommend. We arrived yesterday afternoon to the ice rink. It was well organised and great fun. Getting your skates was easy and quick friendly service. There is a viewing area for those not wishing to take part. There is a separate...More

I thought it was a really nice day out for a family over the holidays. It has beautiful surroundings and there was a lot of room for watching. There is a cafe which sells nice hot drinks and alcohol for everyone to enjoy after skating.

It’s a little hard to get tickets so book in advance. It is worth the trouble though. Snoopy even made an appearance. The lights on the ice are great and because it is dark early the 4:15pm session means the kids aren’t too tired.

Can’t get much more iconic than Somerset House. They say you should arrive 30minutes before your skate time and although this isn’t strictly necessary it does mean there isn’t such a rush to get boots and to get them on in time, especially if you...More

Well organised; good festive fun. Clealry the best setting in town. Parked car at Bloomsbury Square car park, think this cost about £13 for 2-3hrs, then we walked it in which took 15 mins. 1 bag or item per person is stored for free. Lots...More
