We took a boat ride on the Thames to get here, then enjoyed walking around the yacht basin, hoping to catch a glimpse of the royal yacht. Many people were enjoying food and beverage both indoors and out, some looking like tourists and some business...More

Close to the Tower at St Catherine's dock this is a good place to refuel. Three floors, bottom floor is the pub area, we had a couple of drinks first in the bar which has a good British feel and the bar tender kindly gave...More

The Charles Dickens does it's job, serves beer. Nothing fancy, food if you are there and hungry and a variation of beers and ales. Many locals and a convenient spot. A no frills pub but if you want a beer sometimes that's enough, it did...More

We were tired from a day of sightseeing and this place was around the corner from where we were staying in gritty and up and coming Southwark. The Charles Dickens pub fits the area perfectly, it’s funky and rough around the edges, a local hangout...More

The food very good especially the apple pie. Two mains (one of which was rib-eye steak), two desserts, a pint and a bottle of water for under 30 pounds. Well done and keep it up!!!

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some
time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved
browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest
