I've been drinking at The Mixer for 20 years now. I first went there on my birthday back in the 90's...half of Menswe@r were there and one of Blur. I was in Britpop heaven!
When I moved to London 18 years ago I made The...More
This pub is just off Camden High Street and close to Camden Market and The Roundhouse, but it seems a long way from its glory days when Blur, Pulp and Oasis drank here. To be fair it was quite early on a Monday evening, but...More
Came in for a relaxing drink and really enjoyed the atmosphere. A band was setting up to perform wish we could have stayed. Would definitely love to give this pub another try. Seems like the kinda place I frequent in the states.
After reading so much about this place, we had to pay it a visit on our trip to Londonand it did not disappoint. From the juke box to the table football and the selection of beers, everything was spot on and it definitely ticked all...More

Aah cheers Sean, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. We pride ourselves on being one of the last surviving boozers and hope to have a long ol' life. Please do come visit us again soon :)
Around twice a year me and an old school friend hook up for a beer or ten in Camden and at some stage we always end up in the Good Mixer, why?
Cos simply put it's the best pub in Camden if not London. Yes...More
I was born in Camden Town in 1947(Gloucester Crescent). I remember the bomb site that the pub was built on on. The reason for the name was because the paddy builders doing the work had left a cement mixer in the middle of the pub....More
This pub is known for being Amy Winehouse's local. This pub is where she drank and boy is it a dive. Yet I do like it. It is a no frills British Pub with a rough crowd that don't make you feel welcome or unwelcome....More
Famous for its sprawling cluster of markets and shops as well as for an embrace of all things counter culture, Camden offers a concentrated version of London street life. From bargain shopping and people watching to rubbing elbows in its abundance of pubs and bars, Camden is the place to be for many a Londoner. It is also home to some of the hottest live music venues in Europe. As packed as Camden High
Street and its tributaries can get during the weekends, this neighbourhood is right next to some of the city's most beloved outdoor spaces, namely Regent's Park and Primrose Hill.
