Truly one of London's best kept secret! A proper English pub, 17th century, filled with old and young, consisting of small rooms, an open fire, low wooden tudor beams, and best of all - an outside wooden terrace – almost alp chalet style -overlooking the Thames right where it curls east and west (great for watching the boat race). With the sun shining on the river, people rowing past, walking dogs and pushing babies along the river, you'll feel like you are in The Wind In The Willows rather than central London.

I met up at The Dove with some school friends I hadn't seen in a few decades. The pub is right on the Thames, which makes for a lovely view when the weather is nice enough to sit outside. We started outside but, being October, it got quite chilly and we moved inside, which was very comfortable and warm. I... More

What more can you ask for, history, atmosphere, the Thames river, good food and drink to be had. On a sunny day you can sit outside and watch the rowers go up and down the river while sipping a cool ale. Meanwhile inside century's of hospitality await.

The Dove is a classic pub by the River Thames. Easily reached a short walk from Hammersmith. The pub also serves good food and a sunday with a pint and a roast is a great day. Be sure to book a table in advance on weekends, it´s a popular place!

Nice traditional pub. Food: I ordered the Rabbit dish. Well, for £19, a tiny portion of rabbit (around 130/150g max), 7 slices of Heritage carrots and a hot pot full of gravy with 2 thin slices of potatoes, leave you pretty hungry!!! I raised my concerned to the waitress who was helpful enough. The manager didn't bother to show up.... More

Hello, I'm very sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience with our rabbit dish. I have spoken to my colleagues who were working on the day you visited and it was explained to you why our rabbit dish is sold at a premium price, as we have a daily fresh meat and veg delivery. My colleagues then kindly offered... More

The deck and conservatory both overlook the Thames and even on a damp November lunchtime are top spots. The small bars have plenty of atmosphere too. Not surprisingly prices are not modest. The wine list is not long but includes some very palatable wines. We enjoyed a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and a South African Pinotage. An interesting menu. The... More

Booked a table at this very nice pub on the Thames to have a reunion lunch with some old chums and my wife. Setting is wonderful, pub was cosy and warm and the service was great, at least initialy. Problems them occurred with the menu. The menu is quite small, which is fine, but covers a reasonable range. I was... More

Dear Rob, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. I am very sorry that both dishes you wanted were not available.
