The Floris shop is like stepping back in time, which is a great experience which I have enjoyed now on at least 3 occasions when I have visited London. One gets sick if the glass and chrome of a lot of the `modern` places, therefore the warm shaded atmosphere of this establishment is a welcome change. The staff are very... More

Me and my friend went on the bespoke perfume making experience, and I can safely say I enjoyed every second! Nicolas who was our perfumer, made us feel very welcomed and was fascinating to listen to. They room was beautiful, we had coffee, tea, water and pastries all on offer. Making the perfume was wonderful - its such a romantic... More

I discovered Floris in 2014 when my family bought me this package. I was so impressed that I then took my mum for the same experience and none of the magic was lost second time around. Penny, our consultant was so welcoming and ensured we had the most wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff in the boutique were... More

Lovely old fashioned shop in the heart of Mayfair selling beautiful fragrance for yourself, loved ones and your home. Great selection and lovely service. All items can be beautifully boxed as a gift in their signature blue boxes. A must for a special gift for anyone especially to treat yourself.

We first discovered Floris in 1992 and we have been shopping there ever since. The store is a fascinating piece of British history with period furnishings and Royal Warrants. The scents are timeless, classic, and long-lasting. New fragrances are created every year, so there is always something fresh to experience and enjoy. We especially enjoy the gentle, mildly fragranced soap... More

My Australian friend who used to live inLondon in her younger days told me that this is one of those must-visit stores in London if you are seriously into fine fragrances, and she was really right. I spent a lovely hour here discovering a lot about their perfume, admiring the history and the beautiful old cabinets they still use, and... More

No doubt this is part of London's shopping history. But Floris is rather dark and uninviting. Most likely it tends to be visited by people who know what it specialises in - fine perfumes etc., and maybe that is the way the staff and owners like it - keeping the unwashed at bay?

When visiting Jermyn Street be careful not to pass No 89. For this shop facade allthough small in size, is home to a truly wonderful and authentic perfumery store that for me has no rival. I first came across the brand when searching online for a more bespoke aftershave & balm and after comparing reviews with other companies I decided... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
