This is a very special place to watch a gig. The atmosphere and surroundings are great and you will often see larger bands doing a show in this smaller venue just for the great feel. They also pull out the stops to make it special. i.e. last night I attended Bastille supported by Billy Bragg a concert for the charity... More

An iconic venue in London, even in its bold rules (no alcohol or hot food!). Entrance is opposite a big pub, in the middle of a small garden... Arriving about 45 minutes before the doors would open I found a decent spot; seats are not very comfortable but if you're lucky you will have a good space between you and... More

It's a great concert venue. The one down side is the hard wooden pews with limited leg room. Otherwise it's first class. The concert was not great but that is hardly the venue's fault. Perhaps I should choose more wisely.

A group of five of us went to the Union Chapel to see the Feast of Fiddles. We didn't have time to look round the chapel, but what we saw looked amazing. The show was excellent, wonderful music with a variety of different genres, all played beautifully. We all had a really good evening with some foot tapping tunes. The... More

This was the venue for a concert by Mario Biondi. Absolutely fabulous! Such a cool intimate place to see a band. It gets chilly so there are heaters all around and the pews can be hard on the rear but notwithstanding this, probably the nicest place I have ever been to watch an artist perform. Arrive early or take advantage... More

Wonderful building and great atmosphere, Only gripes were the rows of closely packed hard wooden benches you have to sit on. For a 2/3 hour music gig this is hard on the back and you are constantly interrupted from people trying too get out and back from the bar/toilets. There simply is not enough space between benches

First time at the venue and first time seeing Mr Hay live and was blown away by both. An amazing night. Of all the gigs I have been to over the years, this one will linger for some time. I can only recommend the venue to all music lovers. Check their listings and go.

I went here for 'Live at the Chapel' on Saturday night. It's an old church and we sat in pews. It's not possible to book a seat so people improvise and use their coats to reserve spaces. It can be very cold here in the winter.

We saw the Sun Ra Arkestra here a year ago and were absolutely blown away by them. We couldn't resist returning for last Friday's show. The venue is a fully functioning church. Stained glass windows, altar, pews, the works! It's a CHURCH! To watch a band perform in this space is as otherworldly as the music of the Arkestra itself.... More

A very secular performance by a small ensemble, in this , a small Victorian church. As a charity -run venue, it has an enviable track record of concerts, and inside, the acoustics were not an issue. The pews were full, and John Malkovitch didn't flinch from his reputation as a actor with an edge. Catering is simple but effective. Tea... More
