Clarence House is one of the last remaining aristocratic townhouses in London and is the official residence of TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. For a limited time in the summer, Clarence House is open to the public who are able to visit the five rooms on the ground floor where official engagements are undertaken by Their Royal Highnesses.

For some reason, we had a really hard time finding Clarence House. We wound up walking way out of our way, asking several different people, and arriving about 4 minutes late for our assigned tour. As a result, we were not allowed to catch up...More

In the 21st century, that's its claim to fame (and of course that Princess Diana lived here too). We were on tour of the changing if the guard and admired it from the outside. It's more of a place to note from the outside while...More

Came here on a Highgrove Shop Christmas shopping day, (my second visit) Great fun to sip a glass of champagne and meander through The Prince of Wales' morning room, library and dining room while selecting gifts for friends and family. Charming family rooms exhibit a...More

This is something very nice to do only available in August. Very organized with time slots and the gathering to make sure everyone proceeds exactly on time as scheduled. The guide we had was very charming, personal but professional, and the Tour takes about 45...More

Prince Charles and Camilla's official residence in London and full of family photos. Short tour round, approx 45 mins. You visit rooms on the ground floor only. Seemingly each guide does a slightly different tour as each has their own interests in each room. You...More

I think many people walk past this building on the Mall to Buckingham Palace and don't realise it is a royal residence. I booked a tour via Artfund and went in August, which is the only time it is open to the public. The tour...More

Clarence house is well worth visiting (only being open for 1 month of the year – in August), although unfortunately I didn’t’ feel particularly warmly treated/welcomed as a visitor. The visitors entrance is poorly signposted, being on the Mall, whereupon I was quite sharply accosted...More

An interesting house. Not many(5) rooms to see so didn't take long to see. Very hot when we went and had to stand for 10 minutes or so in strong sunlight to hear the intro from guide. Might like to take a hat on hot...More

Open only in August, a visit to Clarence House gives one an intimate look into a charming place that still holds memories of the Queen Mum, where she lives when her daughter ascended to the throne. Now the home of Charles and Camilla, you see...More

Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII,

a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s
